I was under the impression this unit was in Toronto, is that not right? If not, can you get a 30 day tag from what state it is in, then bring it in?

This a serious matter, because if this is the case, regarding a recall letter from the manufacturer, we would never be able to bring any Birds into Canada in the future!!!!

There must be a solution to this problem!! How about a few comments from Canadian's here on the forum who already own Birds, and have imported them in? What did you all do regarding recall letters?
The coach is still in MO getting the body work done first (window framing, body panels etc..) Then the plan was to bring it home with the exterior done then I would do the interior and all the RV conversion parts myself.

As a "Bluebird" owner, you can still get "Bluebird" to write the recall letters, but this new generation (2009) Wanderlodge and Express coachs were sold to Coachworks, so Bluebird has nothing to do with mine and wont do it. And of course Coachworks is gone.

David
My understanding is that any BlueBird bus can be imported into canada. You must have a VIN and a recall letter from the manufacturer, or proof that recalls were done if no recall letter is available ( orphaned coach ).
My guess is that as you coach was not completed to US spec (unfinished) then Transport Canada and RIV will have issue with you importing it. If the bus had been completed would you be allowed to import it? How doid you get it to Toronto in the first place? What did they say when you drove it into Canada?
What did Mr Richer say? Call me if you want.

The Project is still on the go. I am still waiting for Mike to send me the pic's of the new skins on the coach.

Anyway, in the mean time, I bought a complete, brand new Aqua-Hot 600D system from a fellow forum member. He bought it for his project bird, but then decided he didnt need it right now. I had to break open all the kids piggy banks around the house and search for spare change in the sofa to make it happen, but I manage to do it, and think it will work out great for this project.
