Default Exhaust Pipe

Well, I'm having an engine problem again, but I'm hoping it will be minor. There is a bad exhaust leak where the left side(looking at the engine from the rear)exhaust from the manifold meets the turbo. This is the one with flexible section in the middle. I tried tightening the clamp, but it turned out the flange has completely broken off the end of the pipe. I've checked some on line parts houses, but no one offers this part. Is it a BB only part? Anyone know where I can find one or how I could repair the one I have?

I'll give Ebay a try. I hadn't thought of them. We're in Gallup, New Mexico tonight, but if we can make it to Blanding, Utah tomorrow, we'll be in one place with a month to work on it.

i believe you are looking for either a
5101394 right bank exhaust tube
or a 5101413 left bank exhaust tube they should be good Detroit numbers

John,

Not sure if the 8V92 is the same as my 6V92 flexpipe that I had been seeking, but was given a part number of 5101394 by Chuck Scharf at www.scharfco.com as the likely correct part for my 6V92. I did not hold high expectations for welding my split pipe back together.

Good luck,
Mike

Thanks for the part numbers guys. The 5101394 number is what I need. Scharf didn't list one, www.fbmtrading.com has a picture on their website, but none in stock. They have 23 in stock for the other side! I'll give Ray Butler a call tomorrow.
