John,

I will agree with Michael that you have an air lock issue. Next to your aqua hot, you should have 2 drains, a hot and cold drain. With the pump running, one pump at a time ... open the cold water drain and let water run .. purging air from the system. Close the drain to see if pump begins to build pressure. Repeat the same steps for hot drain. This process should purge the air from the lines. Repeat this same process with the other pump as well.

As far as the water heater .... you don't have one. Your Aqua Hot is what you have as you mentioned. It has a heating element installed in the solution tank (antifreeze) the breaker is in fact for that element. Hope this helps.

John,

Sorry one other thing, make sure the tank fill switch is in the proper position. "off" this will keep the pumps from priming.

The 95-96 PT 42 Owners Manual is now online.

Look at Section 11, Pages 5 to 7 for instructions.

Default my problems with the water system

Hello,

in my '89 PT the water system is at the rear right under the bed (Pic1).

I have the following problem: when I activate the water system, water and air come out of every tap alternately - no matter which one. The water pumps do not start. And this is permanent. I think the compressed air is blowing into the water system/the winterize valve is not closing properly. After studying all the posts here and if i understanding it correctly, it is better to install a ball valve between the air and water systems - at the point where I made the arrow (Pic2) - is this right?

I would also like to know if I can clean the valve (Pic3) or make it work.

Thank you in advance - and please stay healthy!

Greetings from Germany
Ramin

The red oval is sporlan valve to fill water tank.
Think that black valve lets air in to water system for winterizing.
I would replace that with ball valve.
The spot you suggested might be good. I just can’t track the air pressure and water based on the photos you shared.

I think the black thing is a water pressure regulator for shore water when it's connected. The brass vertical thing is just a check valve?

Sorry wrote too fast. Andy is right.
The brass / gold solenoid valve (Third pic) could be traded for a ball valve. Better might be a ball valve after as a safety. You do not want the domestic water side pressure higher and driving water in there.
It might be possible to clean it. But not worth the risk of water entering your air system.
