Default Musical Horn - Fixed!

Fixed the Musical Horn. Thank god it was simple...just replaced the speakers. Cheap, easy. And it is so COOL !!!!

Now if I can just find someone who can re-program this thing with some newer tunes! Anyone got a lead on that?

I heard stories about someone in the group that was downloading folks chips with the songs and storing them, not sure who it was and I am not good with those tiny electrons so not sure I would even know how to do it..

I am not the one. Been meaning to pull mine out and play with it. That is a long way down the line.

If you're looking for modern tunes, you may want to see what comes of this thread. You could literally load tens of thousand of .mid files and play them anyway you wanted

I have already changed my amp to a bluetooth amp with inputs.. so I can play the original musical horn or I can connect my phone to it via Bluetooth and play anything off my phone.

Here is the amp I am using:
Bluetooth Amplifier Board, DROK... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074FR4B7H...p_mob_ap_share

It’s nice also it has volume control which was not available with my musical horn.. sometimes it’s nice to turn it down a bit if your in close quarters.
I am thinking this could work too if someone just recorded the musical horn songs and then you could play them back.

I read all the threads - this is what I'm going with....a bluetooth amp with aux, usb, ands SD card input, and a switch. outputs from new amp and existing musical horn into switch, output to speakers. Will try to remember to take pictures and post when it's done....

I love it. I’ve wanted to look at a Arduino, or something like one to to take the place of the existing board while still playing midi so it sounds stock. That or ‘just’ expand the memory and tweak the existing board (if it’s registers can count that high?). I agree with what your doing. I’m sure their are many ways to do it.

I received the parts from amazon - returning the switch - I don't like the quality and the fact that the wires are not all in the back. I want them all on one side so I can mount the whole setup on the dash without wires everywhere. I should have thought about that before ordering!

So this is the switch I'm going with. About the same size but cleaner. And cheaper!

Hope to get this wired up this weekend.
