Randy
You are a man with many experiences
Where did you ever find the time
You just give me more and more reasons to respect your opinions
But
And there is always a but
It won’t stop me from questioning
If we blue bird owners we’re all followers there would be no fun in it
Still sitting in quartzite waiting for tires thankfully it’s a cold year here
Looks like more rain tonight

Of course theres several rv parks in town,a short drive from the salt.
If its hot,stay in town!
Unless you like crazy parties, which happens at the bend in the road.

The Salt Flats is one desolate place. We visited a few years ago, not during speed weeks though. The mountains look close, but are miles away. If you get the chance I would recommend visiting, just to see it.

And if you are interested in LRS cars, check out Ultimate Speed by Craig Breedlove. It's a very good read.

I Can verify what Mike has said about his FC, John Finn, Rob Robinson and myself were in John's VW rabbit, chasing behind Mike in his FC and John was hitting 75mph and could not even get close to Mike's FC...
this was when we were at the rally EAA Oshkosh...

That was before the 350 hp mods and the 3060 Allison. Had the Brownie box auxillary transmission in then.
