Default Golf Cart Discussion

I was unsuccessful in finding information on this topic on the forum. If an Administrator needs this thread moved elsewhere, kindly do so.

Whether for convenience or necessity, there may come a time to make use of a Golf Cart or similar mobile device. Factors such as unit size and capacity will have a bearing on how it will need to be transported. A full size model might need to be separately trailered or stored in a pickup bed. A mini size model may fit in the rear of a small utility vehicle. Facilities may differ as to having them available as rentals, either allowing or not allowing them, or restricting the model type; gas or electric.

Fantasizing can only take a person so far. Most who invest in a Blue Bird probably do not do so on a whim. An individual had to make wise professional decisions to afford the motorcoach lifestyle. Your input is highly regarded. Please share your insights and experiences with purchasing, using, and maintaining these devices. What were the determining factors that led to your purchase decision?

-Brand Name
-Model
-Gas/Electric
If Electric - Lead Acid/AGM/Lithium
If Electric - 24v/36v/48v
-Approximate cost

This list is not meant to be conclusive. If there is anything else that should be considered or I otherwise omitted, please do not hesitate to note also. Thanks for your input.

Timothy

Thanks for bringing this topic up, Timothy - I’ll be following with great interest. Been using an e-bike but can see that it will not be a “forever” solution.

The rallies I have attended I have seen mini carts and regular sized carts.
Maybe Mark Rabalais who sell golf carts will chime in and give us the pros and cons of each type.

We've got a gas 99 ezgo, with powered dump. Paid 500, it's in decent shape, and makes a great yard cart. For campground use I'd go electric.

Default Golf Carts

The Three brands I listed are like Ford Chevrolet and Dodge they all have their pros and cons...Stay away from the Chinese stuff in about three years when they need a few parts their will be none available I promise.. plus they don't hold up..
In my opinion thew Yamaha and club car are about the best bang for your buck
E-go is and ok cart but they are built cheaper..
