Default Door creeks

We noticed that the last two evening the door creeks when closing it. Makes not sound in the am and only when closing in the pm. I was going to spray some wd40 on the hinge but figured I should ask and make sure there is nothing I am missing here and if I should get some other product ?

The fact that it squeaks at one time and not at another might be due to the temperature of the door. Cooler in the morning and warmer in the afternoon. Expansion/contraction. I lube with a light oil like 3 in 1 every once in a while

I lube mine with bicycle chain wax, White Lightening. Get the original, it's called White Lightening Clean Ride. It's a self cleaning and lubricating wax that works and doesn't give the problems of dirt, grease, or grime buildup that can come with mineral oil based lubes.

David, Not to hyjack the door thread but it sounds like this stuff would work for window slides too. What do you think?

Absolutely Rich,

The use of White Lightening on sticky windows actually came up once before: http://www.wanderlodgeownersgroup.co...ad.php?t=10011, but be sure to get the original. White Lightening now provides a wide range of products, some are mineral oil based. The original is now called 'Clean Ride'.

I found it at my local Walmart bicycle section.

Thanks, Brad. I'll add that to Sunday's Wal-Mart list.
