Randy, you may be interested in a set of mirrors for this "New to you" bird. I found them on craigslist in the Seattle area.

With terrys help we have the fuel system done, tomorrow we add fuel.
The engine oil and tranny will get serviced and the rad filled with water, water only this time, just in case we have a leak.
It may just make smoke tomorrow...

Well one thing for sure, the batteries have had plenty of time to charge. They are charged, right?

Yesterday we mounted the Racor,i had one here,in stock and wanted to use it.
I wanted it mounted where i could service it (duhh)but out of the way as much as possible.
I almost wore the thing out holding it in place and talking about how the lines would run and if it was in the way of something else etc.
We even talked about mounting it on the swinging tail gate engine bay doors,i still like that idea but the fuel lines would have to flex and they would be really long to.
I would have used stainless braided lines, since i have some of that stuff laying around.
but,the batteries are just below the ideal spot, and having long stainless lines flopping around over the batteries was just not a good idea..
Well,its mounted and plumbed...

This project has take lots of time,i got carried away with replacing all the heater hoses,i did the brakes,i did the airbags,i did the suspension bushings,we painted the coach.
I went to Alaska twice,i injected my finger with grease (last winter, the best time to do any kind of outside work in S.Ga.)which delayed me working on the 71 for several months.

But,maybe today we smell smoke!

Anyone entertaining the thought needs to read this thread. The difference from most other restorations is that Randy has the skill knowledge time and MONEY to do it RIGHT. And he started out with something out of the ordinary and in excellent condition not some rusted hulk.

This bus is going to be something to see and we all are excited about it. We need pictures and a video
