Is anyone using a Suburban RV Furnace to replace a Primus system? Will this work.

I love the Suburban propane heaters. Have 2 in my coach - - - - - never used or needed more than one. BUT one will roast you out
I have a complete NEW unit here in DeLand - 4 outlets for ducts, the outside intake/exhaust plate, and a thermostat. $400 come and get it.

Ed you already have a water heat system with your primus. Some have replace the primus boiler with a webasto 2010.

Instead of using webasto DBW 2010
I would suggest Spheros Thermo S
Same footprint less parts higher dependability
Newer Tecnology

Looks like the Speros are all 24v. Not a deal killer, but you'll need a converter...

What do these go for? I searched and didnt find any prices.

Thanks, Joe

Last owner told me the Primus control board is bad and needs to be fixed after reading so many people having what seems like endless problems with the Primus system i was thinking of looking for something to replace it with something that cost less.

The webasto from what i have read cost a lot a few thousand VS say the Suburban for a few hundred.

The surburban will be a hard install as its heating air vice water. You will have to run all new air ducts through out the coach to distribute the heat.

Much easier to get the primus running! Have you tried? What didnt work?

How about updating your .sig so we know which model you have :}
