I think the center one is for the PA from the CB maybe? And the outside two are for the horn.

No. Two are for the PMMI Musical Horn and the third one is for the CB Radio PA.

Those two for the musical horn are left and right channels, too, they each need their own wires to the amp that's connected to the PMMI horn box.

I suspect that the 2 musical horns are not the same? In my Blue Box it lists them as having different BlueBird part numbers. In some of the documents they are listed as high and low. Maybe they have a different tone for musical effect...????

Mine were long gone when I bought my bird, but I believe they were both the same. They are just wired two two different audio channels.

Just checked the fuse and it’s ok and also checked power at the fuse both fine.

My play button has never worked, my horn always worked with the power button.

Should I just run a new hot wire to the switch with a 10amp fuse ?

I didn’t see a brown and orange wire running to the pmmi box for the horn.
Jeff do you recall seeing one ?

I don't recall the colours of the wires, but I do recall there being a ribbon cable for the controls and one connector for the power and speaker wires. I have a musical horn box here all taken apart... I should probably replace the capacitors and amp circuits on it too, if I find the time to solder for an hour. There should be power on the white connector. The power wires are to one side of the connector.

On mine the ribbon cable rubbed on something long enough to actually break through a few wires. It might be worth metering it out if you get both ends open. Those dash switches get gummed up sometimes, too.

I checked the dash switch first. No power. I didn’t see any power on the connectors running into the box, I just tested the connectors going into the top of my box not the bottom, not sure if I had anything coming in the bottom i didn’t remove the box.
Were any of the wires on the ribbon cable power in ?

Are you talking the ribbon cable or the other connector ?
I had two connectors on the top of the box, mine is mounted in the lower right corner and black. I have my old Midland CB mounted on top.

Does anyone think it would cause a issue if I just run a hot lead to my power switch, add a fuse to it to protect it and call it fixed ?
