Dan,
I am not that far away, if you need or want I can come up and help with checking the possible damaged interior areas, wiring, etc.

Dan,
Sorry to here of your bad luck. The fire was so close to the propane tank. I wonder about the propane tank with the flex lines and any o rings and gaskets.
I sure hope the insurance company is fair with you.

I am heading for Dan's on Sunday to help look over the damage and
look for wiring that might have been damaged by the heat. I am not familiar with the '87 FC wiring troughs but I assume they are behind cabinets like the earlier FC's.

The insurance adjuster should be there today, so we can start doing our own in depth inspection once they are done.

Should be interesting bending and stretching trying to get eyes on things. Not so easy for me or Dan. But I assume Dan has documentation and we can figure out what circuits might be there and find the distribution centers.

Thanks for all the comments. They all will be helpful in checking over the bird.

Jim W. I know how you must of felt! I will do my best to check out the foam insulation. By the looks of the refrigerator compartment it looks fine but further investigation is needed.

The Progressive claims adjuster came yesterday at 3:30. He checked over the damage and took photos. He said that the NADA book value for 1987 Wanderlodge 39 foot was about $10,000 . He wanted to make sure that my coach was a 35 foot. I have a stated value policy but if the insurance company feels the repairs are too much they might want to buy me out. I hope not though....

Gardner is coming over tomorrow and we will further check it out.

I guess I would try and fight them tooth and nail about the value of the coach. You have a lot of expert resources here on WOG, Randy, John McGinnis for sure, that may be able to help you influence the insurance company on the value, if they seem to be relying on NADA, which we all know is a bunch of bull. Randy and John are more experts than NADA could possibly be.
