Default Blown tires, fire, cat bites, blown air bags!!

John Finn has blown 2 tires on the rear of his FC.
The tires caught fire, and burned up an airbag.
He got it put out using his fire extinguishers and several others donated by truckers.

His cat bit him while he was rescuing the cat,and John had to get attention from an ambulance that was there to attend the fire.

He could not find tires anywhere,so we sent him 4 new Toyos we had here for Bill Papes coach.

John had a spare bag on board, and Mark B and Bill P are on the way to Dublin Ga in my truck with Bills tires.
3 hours away from us here at the warehouse.

Quick acting on Johns part kept his coach from burning, plus parking as close as he could to a few semis got him extra help!!
(just kidding about the park job!)

I think we have everything we need at this time!

Man, I hate to hear that! Thanks for letting us know and please keep us updated. Sounds like he is in good hands with Mark and Bill on the way....

Wow! What a mess. What the heck would make two of them blow at the same time? Something on the road that John just didn't see? Then of course the fire on top of that. Glad he and Callie are OK. Well at least Callie is for the time being When John calms down he may have to have a conversation with her Good to have friends close enough to be able to help.

we contacted everyone in Ga for help!
Chap,Ed W. and others were called looking for an airbag,i use the same airbags on my race car trailer, and i got under it and took one off,but just as i had it off,John called and he had found a new one in his parts warehouse/car trailer.

So,with 4 new tires heading his way he will be on the road again tonight,

Oh man that stinks! He just got everything tweaked too!

Wow, if it had to happen, better being close to the KOW palace...
WOG to the rescue!

How did this happen?

Bad things sometimes happen to good people! Shaken, I'm sure, but sounds like he is gonna be ok.

Arghh.

Its not clear to me yet as to what happened, but so far it seems like his tire monitors did not go off.
But he saw smoke and then had a blowout,in a construction zone,no where to go.
Once he got off the road the 2nd tire blew and he had fire.
Then it was all about adrenalin for a little while!
I'm sure John will fill in the blanks, all the time he was talking i was figuring how to help.
He could not find tires anywhere within 300 miles so we loaded up the ones i had and sent the guys on.
they left here at 1pm,so another 2 hours to get to John.

Wow. Sorry to hear this. Glad he got the fire out. Tire fires can be tough to extinguish.

With "Action" Bragdon (that's Mark's new nickname) and Bill Pape on the way, he will be in the best of care!

John needs to talk to his doctor about the cat bite. They can result in nasty infections that John doesn't need. His doc should know if any preemptive care is indicated.

I guess I should pack a few more fire extinguishers, perhaps the foam type?

You got that right Gardner.
Turns out the inside tire was flat, the monitor never went off.
hes replacing both air bags,HCV and inside wheel.
and brakes,springs etc.
the guys are not there yet.
