Default Nutone Qs

My nutone 251 has bad switch. I can probably fix this. There are also no implements (attachments). On ebay I see lots of parts and whole units. Some base units are model 221. Are implements for 221 compatable with 251? Will a 221 fit in hole in counter for 251. Any other words of wisdom. Thanks in advace

Sam,

Those NuTone attachments were available at a few places a couple of years ago, but the supply seems to have dried up.
I am pretty sure the 221 and the 251 are the same dimensions and there is a working used 221 on Ebay with a ton of attachments for $235 Buy it Now, that you may have seen.

This is probably less than you will spend finding and buying a switch (which I read are also discontinued) and then buying the attachments (if you can find them)

Added:

Also found this video of the 221 in action. I had not seen how a Nutone mixer works.

Dan:

Yes, I saw the ebay listing. That's why I asked. Mine's a 251 and that's a 221. I don't know if it simply swap out. I figured someone here must know it will fit for sure before I pull trigger.

Thanks Sam

I found this place which I believe is in Ohio:

http://www.rienterprisepartsplus.com...ER%20PARTS.htm

They list parts for the base, but not attachments. A phone call to them would probably answer your questions on the 221 and 251.

Edit:
After clicking on more of the listed part numbers, some of them are attachments. For instance # 232 appears to be the blender parts.
