Yes. 50,280 lbs. This was right after i purchased it and the PO included all the extras he'd accumulated during ownership. The basement was crammed full. I need to weigh again with just the stuff my wife and I will have on board when traveling to include full fuel and about 30 gallons of water.

That's a lot of weight for three axles...

According to the EPA over 90 percent of tractor trailers with five axles weigh less than 73,000 pounds fully loaded...

Happy to report our 2000 LX MLE trans. downshifts to 5th when the Jake is active. Used it last night coming down the grade from Apple Valley.

Default Coach Weight & Balance Spreadsheet - Two Axle

If you understand and can use a spreadsheet...

Given initial 4-corner weights as a starting point, 4 years ago I came up with a way to figure out how major weight changes or redistribution between bays can affect the weight and balance of ones coach. Once baseline numbers are entered, you can add/subtract weights to/from each bay and see what the effects will be on the four corner axle weights. The sheet was designed for a 2-axle coach because that’s what I have. However, adding necessary rows to the sheet for a tag wouldn’t be difficult.

Now I have a new question, is there a duty cycle for the Jake or can it be used all the time whenever you release the throttle? This would certainly extend brake life.
Lucas, my current coach is programed to 6th gear as well. When I first started driving this coach it took me a while to adjust to it not downshifting to at least 5th gear. Now after driving it this way for the last couple years I would never go back, programed to 6th gear puts the operator in complete control with no unwanted, abrupt downshifts whenever you take tour foot off of the throttle.

If you haven't done the jake switch upgrade you really need to check it out. It allows the jake operation 1) factory setting 2) off 3) only activates when pressing the brake pedal. Before I was always messing with the jake turning it off and on as driving conditions warrant. Now I leave it in the brake activation only most of the time.
Thanks go to Andy Harmon!
