I put my name on the list when this was first brought up.

I’ll be frank, I was not expecting it to be as pricey as it ended up being.
Currently I’m am getting squeezed financially, and can not afford to spend any money, other then necessities.
My existing gasket is in good shape, and I have no doubt it could be re-used if a window replacement was necessary.
I need to address my exhaust leak, before a widow gasket at this point.

My apologies to the group, I will buy one down the road when things are better, if any one has more available funds and can buy an extra one or two, to get to the minimum order.
$6.00 a gallon diesel fuel, and a rapid slow down in my construction business forces me to STOP spending $.

There are 600+ FC's on this list. (I stopped counting at 600).
And guessing 100+ PT's. Grant it some are the same bus listed with different or several different owners. But still I would think getting 100 should be a snap. Can we hire that guy that keeps calling me about my extended warranty expiring to call these folks?

Yes,they are more money than Dan thought they would be,but rubber is made from oil and you know how thats working out for us.
Sorry to hear about biz being slow, but we understand.
Hope everything gets better next year.

No,the FC and the PT gasket will not fit the BMC,but Dan does have the BMC gasket.
The FC and the PT gasket was discontinued by Blue Bird.

I talk to people daily that want a bird but are scared they will not be able to get windshields if needed.
Dan can provide windshields but without a good gasket you may have to reuse the old one and add some kind of sealer.
MOST birds have some sealer already around the gaskets.
But if you replace a windshield and tear the gasket then what do you do?

In order to keep the wanderlodges on the road we will need to band together and get parts made, most stuff we can retrofit something else, but a windshield gasket is not something you can make at home (homer simpson could).

some FC's and all american chassis used flat glass,i considered modifing my 71 to use flat glass.
Flat glass is easy to have made.
But guess what, the factory gasket for flat glass is no longer available either.

I understand money is tight, but if you go to sell your bus the gasket will be a good thing to have and if you don't include the gasket in the sale you can always sell it here on wog or the many facebook sites.

The longer we wait to order, the higher the price will be.

I found a used gasket for Dan to use as a pattern, and i paid $150 for it,it was used and i removed it from a schoolie, its not really a good usable gasket, but worked fine for a pattern.
Point is i paid 150 bucks for something we could not use in our bus,if we needed one.
so 450 may not be all that bad (if you say it fast) but its all we can do.
So,is your coach worth 450?
Whats it worth without a windshield?
Whats it worth with a leaking windshield?
