Randy,
All that grease and fats is what happened to me Thursday night at the WOG rally when I had a gall bladder attack from the brats. Thought I was having a heart attack, which is why I missed all day Friday into Saturday morning.

All the above sounds really good, but I will have to pass as I await getting that thing removed.

Have a great Thanksgiving.

In my case its once per year (except for the brats)!

Andy, heres a good dip for crackers.
1 can cranberrys

Dice the pepper and mix it and the block of cheese with half the can of cranberrys.

Love Collards, a fresh crop just arrived. Must have good cornbread and a little crackling in it which will make your tongue slap your brains out sopping up the pot liquor.

While you're at it, don't forget sauteing up some fresh Beet Tops as they are better than spinach.
Most people toss them out which is a big mistake.

In NC we used to have a neighbor that grew the best collards, called them cabbage collards. After a frost there would still be ice in the stems sometimes. They'd just hang a bunch on the fence between our houses for us.

Then I went full-time.

Doubt I'll find anything similar in south Utah this Thanksgiving.

I grow collards up here in my garden and they are tasty all year long and last longer than anything in the fall if I keep cutting them down. A smoked ham hock is all they need My wife hates 'em pretty much, but I love them.

I've had something like the cranberry/pepper cheese spread. We get a lot of cheese spreads up here this time of year, and a lot of cold pack cheese.

Barry - sorry about the brat-sickness! I hope you were able to enjoy it before the attack set in. My wife had her gal bladder removed right around the time we got married, now it all makes sense!
