Default BMC Mystery Switch

We have a switch just inside the door . It is behind a door in the dash . Does anyone have any idea what it does ?

Gee, it must be important, all by itself like that.
Could it be your 12 volt master?
What happens when you switch it?
Could it be for the drivers ejection seat? Try it.
On our BMC there is nothing there except heat and A/C stuff.
And it is behind a pull off panel.

Ejection seat...lol

We haven't noticed any difference with the switch up or down .
The 12v master is on the wall with the interior and porch light switches .
The step rope light switch is next to a power outlet down by the seat .
The lone black switch remains a mystery .

Maybe its a DDN switch - - - - Doesn't Do Nuttin' - - - - standard Bluebird redundancy
If it doesn't do anything lets duplicate it

Could it have to do with how the step or step light works?

Looks like it has been used a lot in the past due to the darker shade around it.

I would pull the panel and trace the wires, bet it isn't too far away!

That's the 'RSW', Radom Service Switch, every time you switch it something else needs to be fixed

Its a nice place for a switch, but it seems like a huge waste of space.
I think you should add about 20 more switchs in that panel,to make it look important.

Or,better yet,put a bunch of hooks on the wall and store your spare car keys and stuff there.

We have one of those buttons on the dash . About every six months I accidentally push the button and then I can't figure out why the radio won't work ....lol.
The button kills the speakers .

The mystery switch could have something to do with the step light . It doesn't work no matter where the switch is set .

I think I will trace the wires and see where they go . I would love to turn it into the 12v master . The switch on the wall is in a bad spot . Sometimes when Cat and Sam share the co-pilot's seat , the switch gets hit and the house goes dead . If I put it behind the door that can't happen .

A better idea is to wait and let Mike Huggler work on it ....lol
