Default Looking for recipes

I haven't met a potluck that I didn't like, and that goes double for rally ones! I'd like to compile a cookbook of "tried and true" recipes that have been successfully cooked in (or outside of) your "bird". I've gotten alot of good ideas for the style (spiral notebook, section tabs, how to use the microwave/convection oven, etc.) and a few starter recipes from the ladies at the last Myrtle Beach rally and hope to have it available by the end of the year. So, could you send me a few recipes with name, where you're from, and cooking instructions? Send to this thread or e-mail me at jehdds@hotmail.com. Thanks, Ethel (bubblerboy's other half!)

For an appetizer try Bacon wrapped Asparagus. Wrap a Bacon strip around the Asparagus. Use wood tooth picks at each end to hold the bacon. Heat on the BBQ until the Bacon is cooked. YUM, YUM Remove the tooth picks before eating!

Thanks for ideas. Crockpot cake sounds good. send recipe!! I hope to make a "bird" book available for all when I get enough recipes. John can't wait either! Have you noticed that anything loaded with cream, cheese, butter (and bacon) really tastes good--Ethel

I like to wrap and toothpick a small piece of boneless skinless chicken breast and a slice of pickled jalapeƱo with bacon. Grill it.

I don't know how to get 2 pictures on so I will try another to go with this. The Blue Bird cook book in my album? Also shows pics of BB's being built.

Ethel, been making this a lot this winter:

7 can soup

1 can chicken broth
1 can cream of chicken soup
I put these in pot first and mix together over low heat

1 can green chili enchilada sauce
1 can petite diced tomatoes
Rinse the next 3 before adding
1 can black beans
1 can pinto beans
1 can sweet corn

1 package taco seasoning

Any cooked chicken shredded, you can use canned left over rotisserie , I boil 1 chicken breast and shred it, but I'm not a big meat eater. Hope u like this one because it is so easy
