Just needs new tires, a great bargaining point...

That is beautiful

Thats not a grey hound,but...
You see these coversions all over the net,and some of them look so cool.
but they never post how much they have spent ot them,or where they get insurance.
I'm always amazed at the time and money spent by people building a bus conversion that have never built a house.

Save yourself a ton of work, grief and aggravation. You will end up with a lot more $ in a conversion than a good condition Wanderlodge and the resale of the Wanderlodge will be more $ and a larger market. Make up an honest price list of ALL the items you will need and you will be amazed how fast they will add up. Sink and counters, pumps, tanks, stove, fridge, interior, lighting, bedding, sofas and chairs, dinette, and that is just a start.
Call Randy.
BUY A WANDERLODGE.

I understand doing it your way, and spending the money over a few years instead of in one big chunk. Those schoolie conversions look good in photos, but when you walk through one you get the true feeling of just how cheap and quick they were done. There are some truly awesome conversions, second to none, but they also spared no expense.

I too started on the path of building my own. I had an 1986 MCI 102A3 that I started converting. I just did not have the time to work on it and be able to find it. I was not really happy to have to give it up but finally realized i would rather have something that I can use now and tweak it as I go. FYI all of the work was done by me, except some design assistance..

Here are some pictures of my MCI conversion:
