[Bad Latitude]

Our 3208 TA has noise coming from the lower pulley block. The aft most component, which looks like a harmonic balancer is loose and wobbling.

Don't drive it!
if the balancer is loose great damage can happen if you drive it or run it.
You know what to do,swing the rad and take the belts off and look...

Just looked with a mirror and the crank bolt is in place, all other components/pulleys on end of shaft are secure. Balancer just hanging there loose. What would cause this? Find a part and pull off everything and replace?

i think John McGinnis had the "ring" come off on his balancer a few years ago.
Yes,you need a new balancer,and if i remember right theres 2 different pulley sizes or something?

Thanks so much. Just got off the phone with Cat in West Columbia and will have part this afternoon. I’ll call Cliff but worried about driving in this condition. Don’t want to cause damage. What do y’all think?

Mike H. will have as input, you may need a puller tool.
Yes a few have disintegrated, the rubber drys out and cracks.
Cliff is on Lake Murray, you should be real close
