My control panel next to drivers seat has the 6 paddle switchs on a computerised control board..
When I turn on the system and flip the switch for auto leveling I hear a click and nothing happens... When I use the manual switches to extend either rear jack both rear jacks go down... When I try to use the left front switch to extend the left front jack I hear a click but nothing happens... When I use the right front switch to extend the right front jack, the right front jack goes down... My 1st attempt at repair was to look for a bad ground...and I did find that I had a bad connection inside one of the 2 relays..when I pulled on the cable it moved inside the ralay and the motor stopped working... So I went to a parts store and got a 4 post continuous duty relay (the BB has 2 x 3 post relays) and got that installed...but that didn't fix my origional problem... Next step I tried was to look at the control board and move the wire that controls the right front to the other terminal for left front...in this situation I can use the right front paddle switch to lower the left front jack...proving that the left front jack is OK... Next step I tried moving both rear jack wires to the front positions and both front wires to the rear jack positions...In this configuation both front jacks rise when I try to use a rear paddle switch... But none of the above setups will make the left front paddle switch extend any jack...but one odd thing that does happen is when the left front jack is down/extended and I try to use the left front paddle switch to extend the jack further it sounds like it is retracting instead... Reading the HWH trouble shooting instructions suggests that ussually a jack that won't extend is caused by a bad solenoid valve and same thing when a single switch causes two jacks to extend... I thought that it looked like the left front paddle switch is bad, but I am not sure..that is in conflict with what HWH suggests in its trouble shooting guide. I have phoned HWH for tech support and am waiting for then to call me back... I hope they can help me figure out what is causing the trouble.. Anyone have any ideas?

It took about 1 week for a person to call back from HWH...that person asked for some details and I explained the problem and my trouble shooting done so far (as posted)...She said she was pretty sure it was the control board but wanted another tech to discuss it with me first and said I would get a call from this other tech...
A few more days past and I received a call from the tech...the tech explained that when the paddle is pressed it causes a ground on the connector that goes down to the solenoid valve...so He wants me to check for ground on each jack pin on the board to make sure I only have ground when the paddle is pressed on the one connector corresponding to that paddle...so if its the board I will not get ground on the front left connector(but I should)...and I will get ground on both rears when I press the left rear paddle (I should only get it on the left rear)... I will be going on a short trip this week and will be back on Sunday with the results... To be continued......

Les, I had these same symtoms about a year ago and it was a solenoid valve. HWH sent me a new one and that fixed the problem. Seems like it cost around $100.

A few weeks ago I was at the bird and checked for ground as descibed in the previous post...and I am getting ground on 2or3 pins instead of one...
So next step was to call HWH again about a week ago asking them to have the tech return my call... Today the tech called and decided I need my control board repaired or replaced...the paddles should only cause voltage to ground on the 1 pin for the jack of the paddle being pressed... So I have sent it to them by courier for repair... More to come....

The control board came back from HWH...there was very little in the way of comments etc..just that they had changed 5 diodes and the bill was very reasonable at $68.20 US which included shipping...
So about a week after receiving it I went out to the coach and installed the board and was very disappointed that it still did not work the way I had hoped... The individual paddles now work as intended...I can lower any individual jack and retract them one at a time or as a group... But the auto leveling paddle when held in the up position after about 5 seconds causes a clicking sound that I think comes from below...but does not lower any jacks... And the individual jacks do not seem to have enough power to fully lift the coach they work until they hit the ground then the motor sounds like it is slowing down under the strain and continues to run without lifting the coach much further... So I think I still have problems, probably more than one with the leveling system... ![]() ![]() ![]()

When I was having troubles with the HWH system in the BMC I sent in both the control panel and the control box. They repaired both, including a new front on the control panel for less that $100 including the shipping. The trouble in your automatic leveling mode sounds more like a control box problem. Does yours automatically dump the air suspension before beginning to actuate the levelers ? The clicking may be the switch/valve that is supposed to dump the air. The problem with the pump not being able to lift the jacks could be a problem with the motor, the pump, a leaking valve, power or ground to the motor, or low fluid level.
I also ended up buying a re-man pump-motor-tank unit from them for around $425.

Thanks to Bill (Tulipvender50-SquanderlodgeII), I have a leveling system that works 100%...Bill and Vadie visited us for a number of days while they were on their way to Chilliwack and places beyond...
Bill tested my breaker board with his meter and determined it needed a new part on the board... I ordered the board from HWH and today I installed it... The new board has some improvements, it has three replaceable fuses instead of the 2 sealed breakers that were on the old one.. Thanks Bill for your help...muchly appreciated...

Les:
Not been on the computer much, dang these vacations are killing me LOL. You are quite welcome, glad all turned out well. Thankyou as well for all the help you gave me to get me going again as well. As long as we keep learning, that is the key.
