Default Myrtle Beach Wrap-up

Seems I resolved my front ends refusal to air up with a new ride height valve, the one I replaced was new 6 months ago,it required that I tap on it's side to get it to operate. Found a leak in a T on the same axle, just loose. Myrtle is almost a two thousand mile round trip from Cape Cod, we burned one quart of oil. We used to burn a gallon every 1200 miles but since I started adding MMO at oil changes that has ended; Randy's advice. The drive shaft kit in our van took 4 tries for Remco to get right, it now works very well and the van was a breeze to tow. We towed a large enclosed trailer for several years and this seems to be a good compromise between that and a small dolly car. Our mirrors are now forward swept, pretty cool view, really helps with that blind spot down low. For those that were not in attendance, mirror position was a topic of discussion. We had recently replaced the sub floor in the bathroom, dry rot had taken the old one, very nice to have a solid and clean surface, Diane did the template for the new vinyl and it fit perfect. We bought a vinyl remnant at the local tile shop for $15. Power steering pump made it back dry and powerful and the new fan clutch was awesome, no more clang, clang, clang. Our bus turned 30 on this trip and I will say that well cared for Wanderlodge of any age is the best buy in RV's. A little better than 8mpg.

It sounds like a spare ride-height valve is a good thing to have. I replaced my front one, and in taking apart the old one I see there is not much there. Two schrader valves and some other stuff with silicone jelly to control the delay. I don't think they are worth rebuilding, but could be temporarialy fixed in a pinch. On mine there was a sort bar that rocked between the inlet and exhaust schrader, the screw holding it in place was loose
