Oh No! After a bad experience with Blue Sky & really BAD rate hikes by Progressive, I’ve been with NG a couple of years now. They haven’t raised my rate even once! Besides their excellent rate, I like their website simplicity and Nat Gen phone reps know motor coaches! If Allstate is smart they will leave them alone & keep them autonomous. Otherwise...

Van, Allstate is paying $4 billion in cash because they want the customers and the 14,000 independent agents, so big incentive not to screw things up.

For us old f@rts, this is Sears & Roebuck’s ex-insurance arm buying General Motor’s ex-insurance arm. We just keep recycling old companies with new names.

I really would like to stay with the Jake from State Farm that I have all my insurance with. That way it protected by my umbrella liability policy. But man to get the premium dowm to somewhat reasonable I would have 1000 detuct.

I was trying to do the same with Nationwide (wife worked there 28 years) -- they just said they were no longer underwriting Class A's and dumped the problem of getting coverage back on me (but, hey, we're still "On Your Side"). Fortunately, I've got a good agent.
