I tried to save you from all of this. I wouldn't spend oodles on the BFG AT's (although I like them and have bought many) for an on-road toad. Go to Discount Tire and buy whatever name-brand tire they have for $120/ea. I've had a few sets of the Cooper Discover on my Ram and like them.

So a 20 year old internet message determines where or if you are going to buy a tire? I have owned a couple of old pickup trucks and bought my tires for them at Walmart. Never had an issue. Those trucks have been way overloaded on a number of occasions and those tires were abused beyond belief and I never had an issue with the first tire. I have had more trouble with tires handled with kid gloves that were bought at reputable tire stores, for my cars. Just my two cents worth.

If you are hard on tires & buy them at Discount, get their extended warranty. It’s not expensive. DW recently destroyed one on a curb (no other damage). Discount replaced it no questions asked, for ZERO dollars .

Well I am not a tire expert and unaware of Brand name inferior product sold at big box stores.
They do advertise high volume, lower prices.
My experience is; really happy and satisfied..
We have owned our 2000 Cherokee for 16 of its' 19 years,
Over 160k miles, more than 80/90k additional towing miles.
One set of original tires, and three sets of Walmart Goodyear Wrangler tires.
May purchase another set of four for next travel season.

Dicor! Your sunroofs best friend!
Date code os 0814, so they are only 5 years new. We have a guy locally that is interested in buying them from us so they won't go to total waste. He wants to put them on his woods truck. Looking at either General Grabber A/TX or Mickey Thompsons.

Buy tires that you can get on the road,if you have a tire issue.
A common tire (not a Mickey)
get something from a costco or sams or walmart, they will have the same tires at every store.

Wise words Sensi. I have been careful to only look at current tires that suppliers seem to have a good supply of so I don't run into this issue on the road. Will have to buy 5 tires since our spare is dated back to 91. No plans on ever using that one.
