What would you think about eliminating the fan? I would think it has more air circulation and lower ambient temperature around the frount mounted generator than a side compartment installation. Seems like the dust theory has a lot of merit, especially coming from Power Tech. How about some other opinions.
It’s also been said the crumbling urethane egg crate insulation has an effect on bearing life. It would be a good idea to include that job when you replace the bearing. Bet add another day or two to your job time schedule.

On at least one job done by Powertech (head replacement) they deleted the fan.
Yep,when we have the genny out er redo the insulation,thats the time for sure.


I like the idea of moving air in and around the genny,so i replaced my fan with a new car fan.
We also remote mount the regulator when we work on gennys,into a cooler location.
