We've been enjoying the last few days on Lake Greeson at Kirby Landing a COE park . Had two other campers with us until yesterday . The weather has been nice and beautiful scenery .

I am thrilled to see this. The scenery is nice, but the truth is... last night I was back at Pine Mountain in my dream. I saw your red Jeep with the shiny hubcaps on your trailer! Call me nuts, I even dream about Toads. Enjoy your trip.

Good Morning Harold.
I grew up in Pike County Arkansas and have very fond memories of that part of the world. Lots of pretty things to see and do around there.
Take the Jeep out west and look around Shady Lake, Albert Pike, Cossatot and Little MO falls.

Look up the Albert Pike disaster on Wikipedia before going out there and it will give a good overview of what you are going to see. Really a sad story.

I wish I was up there with y’all. The weather here has been absolutely perfect for camping or motorcycle riding, jeeping etc.

I have been off-roading in the Albert Like area for about 30 years . Some friends and myself were supposed to be there in the campground the night of the flood , but decided to stay home . Another friend of mine lost some family members there that night . It was a tragedy . Many folks from our area use to camp there . It is all grown over with brush and trees and the renovated bath houses are boarded up . It is eerie .

Hanging out at Kirby Landing this weekend . Some tornadic storms yesterday , but mostly beautiful 70 degree days . We did have some heavy rain , hail and high winds.
A little camping and Jeep riding , first trip of the year . All is well .

Glad you are alright too, My kid (and grandkids) live in Little Rock right where the tornado came through. Houses behind hers, flattened as well as the mall 500 yards down the block. Thankfully her house inexplicably escaped damage, The neighbor lost part of the roof. Power is underground. She said they are the only house for blocks with lights on. Police have the street closed. My son-in-law was at work. They lost part of their storefront. He slept in his car because the roads to the house where full of wreckage. I told her I be up there with the coach if anything bad had happened, Very relieved grandpa. One of the deaths was right behind her. Grandson is almost 18 and he is wigged out, Been talking to him more the last 24 hours than I have in years.
