the SP will weigh about what a PT weighs, less the tag axle weights.

The 6V92 is no powerhouse, but its a good bus engine.
The BMC 37 will kick the 6v to the curb, anytime, any speed!

if you want more fuel you need a little more air(change blower drive gear,
turbo is that engine aftercooled ,clean aftercooler .
just installing Larger Injectors will cause greater cylinder temps =
shorter engine life, what IM trying to say is you just have to balance
it out a little, Fuel air turbo boost .you should be able to find lots of injectors
maybe a 9215 with a 9 hole tip to better atomize the fuel.
good luck and if I can help just let me know.

Lots of good info.. thanks Pat..

Hope your feeling better.. missed you at PM.. I did my best to "fill" in for you for a tech seminar on Detroits.. I know that I have a small fraction of your experience.. but I did my best.. Hope to pick your brain someday..

I guess we got off on a tangent here! I will get an appropriate turbo built or bought, and I will most likely build an air-to-water intercooler (or a CAC). I haven't seen a factory intercooler that would fit, it's all boat stuff.

The aftercooler in there now, I guess the jury is still out if it's worthwhile to have at that point or not. If the air bypassing the blower isn't higher than coolant temp it's not going to take any heat out of the charge air, so maybe it should go.

I think 400-450hp is desirable. I can keep my foot out of it when needed, and I would consider installing a boost-actuated throttle modulator if needed to keep the smoke show down at low speed. With the air throttle it's hard to module at low speed sometimes. The power would be there for the hills, which I think the cooling system can handle.

Looking around for injectors and I see a ton of problems with Reliabuilt reman injectors. I also see remans available from Interstate McBee, but they have the same part number, so are they different? I might call my local injector guy (old dude, old shop) and see what he can do with my existing ones.
