less than $60 on Diesel Dash and the last Bracket kit they had was only $83. Thanks Kip for telling us about Diesel Dash. Their customer service is awesome too. Mallie, Thanks for the part numbers!

Default Cleaning the Engine

If you are going to spruce up your engine work area or the whole engine you have to check out this stuff Randy turned me on to. It is incredible to use, great results, will not make you cough or burn you skin.

I use two spray bottle one with the cleaner full strength and one with water to rinse after I scrub hard to reach engine parts with a still handle toilet brush.

Randy told me I could get it at Dollar stores. Compare their price to what's available on the Web. Homedepot $10 gal, Amazon $20 gal, Dollar store $4 gal/equivlent (smaller bottles)

The Homedepot pressure spray bottles work really well at breaking down the grease.

LA Total Awesome. I have no financial interest. The product is just great for my Bird.

you don't need a jake going up hill Thornton!
And i have been down Mt Eagle many times without a jake, just gear down at the top and go slow.

Can also be dirty Cannon connectors too. I cleaned mine and it works great now.

I just did mine this week. Not too bad. Getting the gaskets in there for the intake manifold was a bit of a bear but, it is done.

We are a week out from the planned dates.

Clint, sorry to hear you have a scheduling conflict. I guess that means people are definitely coming to Winchester, TN? I have been gathering parts and think I have pretty much everything I need including some strong vinegar that really stings the nostrils! I plan to do some wrenching even if it is me, myself, and I.

I have one scheduling conflict that has come up. My wife is playing in the Symphony Orchestra up on the mountain at Sewanee (University of the South) on Friday. I must attend, and anyone else who would like to join is also welcome. She would love it. Show is at 7pm and is free. Should be a little longer than an hour. Anyone who does not want to join is more than welcome to hold down the fort. and tell lies and jokes around a campfire until I make it back down.

How many people still plan to head this way for our mini wrench rally?

I'm planning on driving a couple of hours Thursday night and should be there Friday morning early ready to get started. I'm planning on doing the bracket and general maintenance along with whatever everyone else is doing. Thanks for hosting and it sounds like we will be entertained in the evening.

I'm afraid I can't commit to that weekend at this time. So I'll say I'm out.... but plans could change at the last minute. I just got to add a broken tooth to the list

Work schedule just changed so I can't make it this weekend. I think Jim and I are going to reschedule for later in May.
