That makes everything from the tank to the `pump is agreat place for an air leak. I would highly recommend an electric pum as close to the tank as you can get, Makes priming a lot easier too. And you can run a fuel pressure gauge inside to monitor.

Frank, how old are the fuel lines from the frame rail to the racor and racor to the engine? If they are original they need to be replaced, they are sucking air most likely. Other point of air intrusion is the racor gauge line. I just did this on an 85 PT was sucking air from racor gauge and the fuel lines, ran ok but was hard starting.

Jeff, they’re original. It’s probably time for me to quit procrastinating and replace fuel lines a coolant hoses. I think I will start when I get home. Hopefully being done in time for Shipshewana

My racor gauge line was leaking but it only made it hard to start.. I plugged it and it was fine. Took 5 minutes of not less
