I just sent the delivered seal back to Parliment for replacement. When the new improved seal comes in, then we can get together and travel to David's house for a training session on seal replacement. The best part is, I will not charge anything for providing the training coach.

Seriously, we probably can work out a situation whereby you can observe.

Maybe we can do this at Eds shop and hire George to help?

That's real nice of you Ed, thanks! Talking with HWH a while back the tech told me that one of the issues with putting a seal in is taking up the slack. The seal is stretched over the corners, which helps with the kink/buckling that we talked about earlier, but this means that the seal ends up being long. This extra slack has to be taken up; that is, worked in to the top and sides. Scrunched! Clear as mud, eh?

I had my seal replaced in January and all has worked well. This weekend I was out "fixing" some items. I let down the cover over my sofa while the slide was out and could see daylight from the middle of the slide forward on the top. Everywhere else it appeared to be sealed correctly. I put the slide in, back out, and had the same open exposure. Is the seal one inflatable tube all the way around the slide, or could it be in sections? Could it be a section that is not getting inflated? Curious for some input before I take the coach to George. In addidition, could I have gotten a defective seal and how would I know?
Thanks as always,
Bruce

Bruce, the seal should stretch to fill the gap. How long ago was the seal replaced? Is the slide centered in it's opening?

The seals made before January, 2011 should be ok according to HWH.

Ok. Ed and Randy, Let's call George and set it up when my new seal comes in. Between all of us, we should be able to really cause all kinds of confusion. I just hope hope George can navigate a BS Maze.

David, the seal was replaced in January. I can watch the seal inflate, just not the top 7 feet or so behind the drivers seat. Thats why I was thinking the seal may be several chambers and not just one? Maybe I have a kink? The slide is centered and operates smoothly.
