My paddle broke right down the middle. I found a replacement off ebay. The seller claimed to be a plant manager at Bargman before moving manufacturing outside of America. I asked him about replacing just the handle and this was his reply:

FYI, I took a lock apart to see if there was a way to simply replace the handle. (I have a few incomplete L-300 assemblies) It appears pretty impossible to replace the handle. It required complete disassembly... but more importantly, the handle is held in place by a (about) 4 inch pin. The pin was pressed in from one side. There isn't a matching hole on the opposite side - so no way to remove the old pin. I considered the possibility of drilling a suitable hole, but that did not seem practical.

Guess we (Bargman) never thought anyone would want to take them apart.

I think I heard airstreams use the same lock, for what its worth. I invited the Bargman man to come visit us back when I bought that lock a year or two ago- maybe he'll stop by with some new information.
