Default Throttle Return Springs

After cresting a hill the cruise likes to run up +10 mph before settling down to the set speed. Are there specifications for the mechanical 8V92 throttle return spings? Ours springs measure approx 6", diameter less than a dime.

Default 6v92 Accelerator Return Spring - One missing?

This is an old thread but I am also looking for the answer. I think I'm missing one of the return springs since I believe there are supposed to be two. I read in another post that this could affect the high idle as well.

I installed two new springs...one inside of the existing spring...and one along side...problem resolved.

I purchased a packet of various length/size/tension throttle return springs from the local auto parts store.
