Wink 3 Master Air Conditioner Switches on Dash 96 WB

3 Master Air Conditioner Switches on Dash have no effect..

First, my apology to the member who said he had the same problem, asking if I found a solution to let him know-- I cant find the reference to respond --- Hope you see this !

Symptoms ... Air Condtioners inop-- Control Panel lit up...

Problem Ident: Top button
on control box works only occasionally.. Just play around with settings Two airs came alive... looks like I need a new Control Box... Dont have Partnumbers ... gotta look in Blue box as I know something is there...

Have been told that the new control boxes have an addtional button to select zones as opposed to the double key press on the old boxes... Also that new one would also require new control board on each air conditioner..

Can anybody validate that?

Also thought maybe I had a water pump problem--turns out I had a calcium buildup problem on all the faucets and showerhead. Live and learn--Check your faucet screens!!..

Take the control panel off the wall, disconnect, lay it on the table and take it apart carefully. Spray some contact cleaner on it over a paper towel and let it dry. Put it back together, reconnect, put back on the wall.

Worth a try

you can't buy new ones anyway Rod.
4 button and 5 button are obsolete.
the new 12 button is bad to the bone, but you have to change the circuit boards in each unit.

Yes Dinosaur fixes them to a point. They can fix anything on my 4 button with the exception of the display. If the display is toast then according to them you are up the proverbial creek.

I used Dinosaur Electronics to repair my 4 Button unit. I called to verify they repaired them and the cost. Unit was turned in less than a day and shipped back to me. Works great now.

No experience with the others.

Got my CCC unit back yesterday from Jim Frerich ! and just got back from checking it out on my Bird.. Works Great ! And I highly recommend him (see previous post for his info).. He also included instructions on how to reset the system (if required -- mine did not)
