My couch was delivered this week so I am about to start working on removing the little table and chairs just as you had mentioned. The couch will easily fit thru the side door of my 90 BB. I bought a 72 inch couch without arms, It will be up against a small cabinet on one end and nothing on the other end. I plan to build a base with storage underneath out of wood, the RV Jacknife sofa will sit on the base. On my 90 BB I will have to leave a gap at the back of the sofa so the curtains can slide behind the couch but this only needs to be a few inches.

I will be investigating the passenger sofa more this weekend, when I am off, while the hubby fixes the leaking HWH valves. I can see from our 82FC where a factory sofa once was but the PO removed it and had a cabinet built and a chair installed. So going off the holes I see from the 82, theoretically there should be similar holes holding the hardware for the sofa in the 83. Once I find a way to open it up, then I will have a better idea of what could fit in there...like golf clubs with no bag....
if you want wanderlodge info, you need to hang out with the guys that know wanderlodges.

Once you open the front doors on the curbside couch you will see how its screwed to the wall and floor.

Thanks for all of the feedback, everyone. Obviously it is possible. I'm glad to know it is a viable option. BTW, it'll probably wind up being an LX.

My LX came with 2 couches. I removed the one on the right side in favor of a desk and a chair. There is nothing under my right side couch except the air cyl for the step well cover.
The left side has a heater under it.

The right side couch came out the door without issue once I took the arms off (4 bolts)

And the removed couch is already spoken for.

Our coach had 2 sofas,we took them both out the door, and we have 2 desks and 2 recliners.
Personally we don't need a couch, and we also took out the dinette and built a buffet, which also came in and out the door.
Of course we don't have a place to store golf clubs, but since we don't play golf its all good! Hahaa!!

I’m looking for a curb side couch because of a second grandchild. A tan, white or beige color with storage underneath would be great, but I’m open to what might be available. I have the wheelwell hump right behind the passenger seat. Any available sofa or suggestions on who can custom make one out there?

Default 90 SP36 adding a second couch

I purchased a couch on e-bay for $300.00 its called a jackknife couch I got the 70 inch without sides. It was an easy project, in the photo is a friend of mine building the base for me it took him maybe 30 minutes, turned out better than I expected. Here are some photos to give you some ideas.

Its made by Made by Patrick Industries
Model BWD JIF72-FT. It is a simple couch not the quality of the original BB couches and made of vinyl. I like the way it looks I would like it better if it was a tougher material like leather but hey it was $300 bucks.
Do a search on e-bay for more info search:
