Default Freddy Fender Bus

I came thru Olney Springs in October 2016 and spoke to the owner of the coach. He had just purchased it and had it trucked to the location. I believe he said it came from Florida. It did not run and he wanted to fix it and travel. He owned and lived in the building next door.

How long has it been sitting there?

I think the self appointed mayor might be out there a little bit. The 2016 thing sounds a little more realistic. I looked at the date code on the front tire and it was 16

The mayor just said he had been there 30 years and did not remember it being there when he moved to town. He told me the guy to sell the bus but I could not find the owner.

Spotted this beauty in a WM parking lot a few weeks ago in Maine.

I had little awareness of the Wanderlodge before this chance encounter. Our jaws dropped (my wife and I).

We gawked and took pictures on the way in, and did some more on the way out.

It was pretty easy to figure out it belongs to @gspappa. That was us in the brown Audi if you remember...

Anyhow, thanks for parking there on that day. We have a new obsession

We saw at least a few more on I90 on our way back to Iowa earlier this week.

What a wonderful weekend we had up at Association Island KOA, along the eastern shore of Lake Ontario. Roberta spotted the early 80 Bird before I did on our first walk around the campground. So straight up to the coach named WheelHouse we went, Cap and Rosemary greeted us with open arms and great conversation. Though we were only doing a three day stay, we all enjoyed, dinner, drinks, boat ride and sunsets.
Cap and Rosemary, you made our outing special. We hope to see you again soon! I know Ripp will be looking forward to the hugs and kisses from you, Rosemary!
