Default APB on the Calgary Stampede

Calling all cars! Calling all cars! All points bulletin on the Calgary Stampede! Do we have any experienced visitors with the Stampede? Inexperienced Canadian friends have asked me to join them there. I wondered if there are any experienced travelers out there in their bus or otherwise who have been to Calgary's summertime big deal?

Recommendations
Places to stay
Places to park the bus
Must do and see

Thanks,
Lew

I have not been to the Stampede in many years. We went years ago in the FC, parked at a friends house, in the driveway behind their house. If you don't have a campground reserved yet, it may be too late. Campgrounds within 100 miles are booked early, no kidding. I would start by trying to find a campground where you can stay.
There are other things in the area, like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Head-S...n_Buffalo_Jump , .

Drumheller Dinosaur Museum is a treat.
Really like the campgrounds at Kananaskis and others heading towards Banff.
Head Smashed In is interesting.
Unfortunately I have not been in Calgary during Stampede Week and have never stayed at a Calgary campground due to lots of family and friends in the area.
