Nobody else has the correct seal, and NONE of them work right. I think I've tried 7 different ones until now.

Absolutely. Just thought I'd toss that out there for stuff you might not be able to get as easily as from Dan and Amy.

Default How to prepare door for weather stripping

Hello,

I bought some weather stripping from Dan, great service and the correct part.

How did you you prepare the door so the new weather stripping will stick properly ? What is the best way/product to clean up the door ?

Thanks in advance Dale

I use denatured alcohol to stick anything on that has an adhesive backing. Something else that the denatured alcohol is good for and that is cleaning up your shower walls from soap scum.

Default door seal joints

I just received my OEM door seal from Dan Hartley this week. Question: What works best to finish off the corners? Miter the joints? What adhesive in the joints?

Don't cut it, just carefully bend it around the 90 degree turns and keep going to the bottom.
I started at the top front hinge side and stopped at the bottom front hinge.

I am doing mine as well... removed the old seal and cleaned off all the glue...I will put the new seal on tomorrow...

So the seal is only on 1 side and top and bottom, and the piano hing side doesn't have a seal?
