Paul - in the case of Markus' coach, all loads are distributed from the stud on the starter. We are pulling ground across the entire bank with (+) connection at right rear and (-) connection at left front corner. Rather than connecting the batteries to a single stud, you'd be better off using a copper bus bar like this- https://www.bluesea.com/products/210...3_8in-16_Studs

IMHO, (remember the "H" means humble) running everything through the starter stud results in lots of current going through a connection that gets basted with road spray, dust and oil regularly. I installed a bus bar like the one above on the metal flange next to the cruise module and ran all of the battery cables, jump-start cables and starter cable to individual posts. The last post is for a dedicated, fused 4/0 cable that supplies the inverter-charger, chassis and house 12V circuits.

Per Shane's recommendation, I added a bus bar today. I needed one longer cable since the positive battery cables connect directly to this bar, not each other anymore. Ordered from this place:
