Well, it looks like the housing of those speakers may be larger than I thought... I may be using them in the garage and getting the next size down for the bus.

BA is good, I was going to recommend klipsch.

RE: sub, depends on space and what you're listening to, but you'll probably be after a powered unit with that head unit. Should be able to find a nice cubby to tuck it in to, or you could always convert a compartment to a subwoofer box. Audio projects are so much fun. Enjoy!

btdubs, monoprice is a good place for individual woofers and components if you decide to DIY.

Thanks for the tips! I will definitely be looking for a powered sub to replace the Bose surround sound sub. I will probably go with JL Audio to replace the Kenwood car audio components.

JL is good stuff if you have access and don't mind the coin. For run of the mill walk in to a store and walk out, I recommend high end infinity for most listeners, or high end kicker for rock/metal/country heavy listeners.

Car audio can be had cheap from sonicelectronix and caraudiogiants (I've used both and have had great service from both) provided you aren't worried about buying from a licensed dealer. Not sure what the deal is there, but I've not had any issues with multiple purchases from both places.

I ordered the Boston Acoustics Soundware XS 5.1. The speakers look just like the larger ones but it also comes with the sub.

Default Winegard Rayzar Install

Last night the Rayzar got delivered, so, I went to work on the install. I am installing it on the little raised platform that the UFO was on. I just had to make a rear support that the other two legs could bolt to. This is as far as I got, I need to run and get some more Dicor so I can seal everything up before I continue.

Rayzar is installed externally. Overall, it is the same height as the A/C units. I used butyl tape was used between the mount and the roof.

Wiring the solar panels properly is on the list before I’ll be done on the roof...

Default Dash Wiring

I started pulling the dash apart...this might be the worst wiring that I have ever seen! There is cut and disconnected wires everywhere. I guess the blue thing is a disconnected capacitor...
