Default Generator change...

Well guys it has been a while since i've done something major to the FC The PT has gotten all of the attention lately

Finally gonna change out the 'ol reliable but oil leaking, noisy 12.5KW Kohler. It has 7240 hours on it and has only required 1 voltage regulator since I have owned it. I am excited about the new (to me)Onan...

I thought I would do a thorough documentation of the project for your watching pleasure

I am going to build a completely new raised tray assembly as well as widen the whole opening to allow for some additional storage space. I plan on having 2 side by side swinging doors like John Finns single gen. door. They will be a total of 6' wide when finished

Wish me luck!

I look forward to watching your project. That is a nice looking generator that you are putting in.

Hey! I'm going to be back in Tampa/Clearwater thawing out the first week or two of January before returning to the frozen North. Randy has suggested that we have a little get together of whoever is in the area then. I know you (Turbokitty) should be around. What about NH Bill? You both helped get me into this whole Wanderlodge cult. Who else is going to be within driving distance of Tampa/Clearwater the first two weeks of January?

Perhaps we can get together at Ft. Desoto...

Ryan, you need to have this project completed by then so you can show it off! I might even clean up my coach--inside and out That would be twice in one year...

Hey Jim,

A mini, mini rally would be cool in January! I had a visit today from Ron Rueckwald. He wanted to see my generator madness going on. We could count on Ron and probably NHBill and who know's who else...

Got the 2 mounting rails for the sliding tray removed by dark so... my plan is to go down to Big 3 truck salvage and try to find a possible set of factory made doors for the generator bay. I would very much like to find a set that are recessed flush with the outside? That would give it a finished look

I did make one itty bitty mistake in running the main engine with the fuel line to the generator disconnected. Sucked a bunch of air and killed the CAT I had just gotten it back running when Ron arrived... Happy Day!
