Default Not Heading Out

Folks,

I've read with trepidation and envy the posts of members who have headed out on their yearly migration out of winter. Trepidation for all of the breakdowns and "exciting times" people are having while out on the road. Envy because the reason we have these wonderful machines is to wander.

Yesterday it got to be too much so I traveled north almost to the Canadian border and visited my quiet, cold Wanderlodge. I post holed through knee deep snow to where it slumbers. Walked around it touching it through the cloth cover. Looked for animal tracks that would tell me if some creature were using it as a winter shelter (didn't see any, but the snow was fresh).

I'm dreaming of the day when I too can migrate south and live full time in my Wanderlodge. For those of you that are already living this dream, enjoy. Don't let the momentary troubles of the road get your spirits down.

And most of all, thank you for sharing with those of us whose coaches are frozen in the snow!

Hey Craig,

Just get a shovel, snow blower or plow and head south. Thats what I did, I can't tell you how good it feels!! I went from the white snow to the white sand!! I'm not the only snow bird down here winterizing NH Bill style!!

It looks like Big Blue is smiling in the second photo.
I'm sure the sun is more enjoyable than the snow.
