The box you are looking for is under the couch on drivers side next to the heater if we are talking about the same box. On the FC's at least on mine, there is a set of possitive cables that run over the trany for the step and geny. Mine had rubed through creating a short. The cables looked like a wire brushes and would create a short every once in a while for no reason and kill the batteries. I dont no why the factory had run them that way. hopefully they corrected that by youre year

Sorry the box under the couch is not what you are looking for. Youre inverter our baterry charger is in the outside middle compartment drivers side. If the 85 is anything like my 82.
