It was our first WOG and had a great time. It was fun to finally meet people in real life that I had "Seen" on the WOG.

Food was terrific. We enjoyed the wide selection of potluck food.

Also enjoyed the seminars and vendors.

I thought the wristbands was a good idea to keep out "visitors".

New people were made to feel welcome.

$50 fee was a bargain for the food and services provided.

Let me explain the arm bands.
Last year at the last nights dinner we ran out of BBQ.
I noticed people in line to eat all night that i had not seen all week at the rally.

Theres a few of us that always eat last.
Myself and the Coachcraft group.

I was embarrassed when Coachcraft group did not get to eat,and they sponsored the meat for the meal.
Did i say embarrassed?
My heart sank,Brad and wife and daughter with nothing to eat?
I was the guy that had to talk to them,i was the guy that had to explain the food shortage.
Brad and i have been friends for 30 years, hes a major sponsor and he did not get to eat?
I took $500 out of my pocket and pressed it into Brads hand, asking his to please take his family somewhere nice,on me.

He looked me in the eye and asked "how long have we been friends?"
He handed the money back and said "your money is no good".

So if you don't like arm bands, don't come next year, simple as that.
I had CROW for dinner last year, never again.

Every race track i have ever been too gave you an arm band, every concert gives you an arm band.
They do not fall apart with hand washing or showers, get over it.
Next year they will be pink.

Great rally, made a lot of new friends, (Think the $50.00 fee or $100.00) is the best way to go. The bingo was great, loved the auction and flea market. Thanks for welcoming a couple of newbies to the Bird community. We are not new to RVing by any means (Been RVing over 40 years) (Fulltime for 9 years) The food was great. Agree with the white boards to know where the projects are going on. No problem with the arm band here.

WOG 2022 in our opinion , was the best WOG rally we have attended .

Next year we are arriving two days earlier and staying a day later .

I believe we could charge a fee and still sell tickets.

But with that said, making the drawings off of a single number is much easier. I like the idea of drawing site numbers.

Instead of armbands we could hand out nametags, hand written on a WOG background and reusable all weekend, plus we still get to take them off at night.

Potlucks are not a good idea for a group our size. Mary and I really enjoy showing off our culinary skills, but there's just too many people. The serving line slows down while everyone is trying to choose between 6 different pasta salads. All the food should be provided by our rally fee. If we want to continue potlucks, have everyone bring a dessert or let's set up a different area for potluck items.

I had a great time at the rally and wouldn't change a thing. I also feel that $50 is cheep for a rally and I am looking forward to the pink wristbands next year. I can rock some pink! I would love to get a name tag similar to the white and blue ones most old-timers have. I think people should know who I am! lol. If someone will give me the details of the name tags and where they were sourced from, I would be happy to lead up a purchase program from owners who don't have them.

First time to PM.

BLUF: PM WOG is like attending a job fair. You'll only get out what you put in.

I have gone to the Q in a car for day visits. Also participated in a couple AZ Hot Birds rallies prior to moving to east coast. I think going to a couple smaller rallies throughout the year makes attending the larger rallies 10X better, that's on me obviously. I have kids to consider requiring me to tie a rally to the front or back of a "vacation" limiting my attendance. WOG '22 was tied to Asheville NC and Williamsburg VA.

By the end of WOG '22, my wife was animatedly against attending ever again (don't be offended, we'll never go to Q either). Despite meeting a lot of great folks, the ant infestation (I'm still fighting them), a spider on her face in the middle of the night (caused her to hit her head on the switches above. Didn't know our docking lights were shining on gracious neighbors 'till morning), no option to recycle on site (probably contributed to the ants), and the continuation of day to day activities (laundry, cooking, cleaning) made the expenditure of time and money unbalanced. That said, the antiques in PM were priced well below the shops in our region. We also stayed an extra day and went to Calloway Garden for the day (highly recommend). My kids did get to the pool where they met others their age.

We did book PM again for next year in conjunction with a week at Disney Fort Wilderness for the kids and tentatively a second week at Disney (will have to do a cost breakdown when we get closer). We're also planning to stay in PM for a week next year (2023) to visit more in the area. I'm hoping a week to settle in, get caught up, and see the sights will balance out next year keeping everyone in my family content.

As I stated earlier, attendees will only get out of it what they put in (in my opinion). My wife enjoyed bingo at night as well as the ladies' lunch. I don't have suggestions to make the rally better, because I didn't put enough into it. Next year I will coordinate a day trip for the early arrivals or a game night.

Not much from me I thought it was great from start to finish. Yesterday the guy I bought my bus from wanted to know how our trip went. So we met up. He had many question on who we met and if so and so we’re there. I like to put faces to names. I would propose at the opening dinner we do a brief introduction. Nothing more than who you are and your forum name. I felt like I missed making a lot of name and WOG name connections. I also found it hard to know what was going on as far as repairs and such. Not sure if we could have a group text set up. Such as if I’m going to be working on my knuter valve id just text that with the site and time. Otherwise again great time and hats off to all those that made it happen.

My only complaint is I wasn't able to attend.

Maybe we could get a little earlier notice (Kip?).

I had to take the emergency wrap off this 8-track. Glad it was handy.

That is truly awful what happened to Brad. Revenge is a dish best served cold. Making an example of an interloper would have felt really good in that instance. Catch one and give them WOG justice on the spot!

My thoughts exactly (on the name badge). Sign me up.
