Default Micron Rating for Primary/Secondary Filters

What is the recommended micron rating for the Raycor and spin-on secondary fuel filters on a 3208 Cat? So then, if I'm using a Davco 382 fuel processor instead of the Raycor and spin-on secondary filter, wouldn't I use the same micron rating in the Davco as the secondary spin-on filter? Appreciate your help your help on this one.

Seems to me the secondary spin on by the hand pump is a two micron.

On my coach the stock setup did not have a primary filter (Raycor). It only had the spin on filter in the engine compartment with a glass separator bowl. I know the NAPA filter I'm using is a 12 micron filter.

Part Number 3405 NAPA G Fuel Filter
NAPA G Spin-On Fuel/Water Separator Filter With Drain
12 Micron Fuel Filter

I'm curious what they do when there is a primary/secondary? Go down to 2 as Mike says? Seems if you're only running one filter a 2 micron filter would clot too easily? Also, later they added the faucet pump so wonder if that was due to the better filtering?

Bottom line is my stock system has no faucet pump and no Raycor and has never needed a filter change in 7 years. I've changed it when purchased and again last year to see if I'd notice any difference.. nothing.. still slow.. hee hee hee

For Detroit 8V92 the secondary is 5 micron. The primary Racor is available in different ratings - 30 micron was the only one W.W. Williams stocked so that's what I'm running.

I remember looking up the NAPA Gold units and they were 10 and 30 micron.
