Default Current insurance carriers

In an attempt to wrap my head around the costs associated with a bus purchase I’m searching for insurance now so I know what I’m doing when the time comes. I read all about blue sky and the rate hikes, ACV vs agreed upon policies. There hasn’t been a post in here in a while. What are the companies that I need to be sure and get a quote from?

What about driving schools, clubs or other discounts that could apply?

What great wisdom does the wog(sorta like the borg) have to offer?

Thanks.

Google, RV Insurance, "Agreed Value", in your home state. Wade through all the ad pages and you will find someone who can provide you coverage. Not all companies offer RV insurance, Allstate, State Farm and others will write you a policy but usually they know nothing about your RV or RV needs. There are several RV Insurance Brokerage firms available, Thum, Miller & Explorer, Farm & City are just a few and they do a good job of looking out for their clients. I recently had a minor mishap and I called my broker who answered my questions and guided me through the claim process. My experiences have shown me that big cooperate 800 call centers is that if it's not in their script they may not have the fortitude to find you the answer you need. Go for experience.

These guys used to sell Blue Sky. They understand that BlueBirds have and hold there value. They sell a few different companies, Progressive, Formost, Safeco.
I went with them when I bought my coach, changed insurance companies when Bluesky stopped covering RVs.

My agent knows John, he’s the go to appraiser when it comes to BlueBirds. Reassuring to know they understand BlueBirds and the community.

Been with Progressive now for 17 years. Finally used them when my big awning flew over onto the roof in AZ. Cost them 4 grand to replace. I had a $125 deductible.
It costs me $48 per month with an 18k total out.
Haven't gotten a higher valuation in years.

Wow, lots of progressives. I'll call everyone that was mentioned that wasn't on my list already.
Are there any kind of special riders that should be on a policy for a bus?

No fault/no deductible glass replacement, if not included on policy. Windshields on these coaches are one of the most common claims because they’re a magnet for every rock or pebble, and cost big $$.

Progressive AV here. Switched from BlueSky a couple years ago when they flaked out. Happy with P.
