Default vinyl trim for chrome trim on 70s era

Anybody know of a source or substitute for the black vinyl that covers up the screws attaching the chrome trim to the front of a '75 as in the pic? It appears even just a narrow flat piece of metal or plastic or whatever would do the job, but, just thought I'd ask. (Doesn't have to be black necessarily)

The front is clamoring for attention now that I'm FINALLY getting around to putting the big sheets of black vinyl solar on the sides and top (other pic).

It looks similar to the trim on my SP. Replaced mine. Bought it at Dupree Products.

When Ryan Saari painted the front cap on my 'Bird 5 years ago we removed all of that aluminum with black insert trim and using Krylon Fusion paint for plastic surfaces found at Wal Mart, I changed the color of the plastic inserts and painted the insert area on the trim pieces to red, this way if the inserts shrink or are lost it isn't as noticeable.

Thanks guys. Skyway's lead to ebay paid off: The site has a dizzying choice of inserts, including one for my 7/8" slot, though he has 3/4" etc etc, and in various colors. Didn't see any on Dupree Products, though it's got a lot of other very on-target stuff.
