Question 82 FC windows...tint or colored glass?

Can someone tell me if the side windows on the older busses is a window tint that can be removed or is it colored glass that was installed at the factory?

Mine is a lovely shade of 1970's brown glass and I wish it to be changed to something in a grey tone.

BTW, Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Dana, The glass is actually colored... not a peel-off tint.

Ugh...I was sooo afraid of that. #$%^@#!

There is a long story about the color brown and my dear husband...and the moral is I need to remove as much of it as I can. I can paint or cover just about everything brown inside the bus but now I am stuck with the brown colored windows and the brown light they bring into what is going to be a white, gray and bits of blue coach.

Randy, it's not just him. I detest brown too. Am actually nauseous at the thought of having to rethink my entire design plan to incorporate those fugly amber windows....unless I can find a LED that can somehow cancel out the brown light coming thru the windows.

Maybe 2 pairs of ROSE colored glasses?
Ha! just kidding!
Here you go,just leave the windows open!

Or,i guess you could change all the glass?

I try to stay outside as much as i can,so the window tint does not bother me.

I hear ya! Guess it's the girl in me...or the OCD...but I like for things to match...otherwise it will drive me bonkers.

We also plan on spending as much time outside as possible, but there will be plenty of time when we are inside...driving and sleeping.

Will look into replacement glass...ugh! Guess I need double paned then?

Looks like you're painting almost everything else - why not paint those windows
You really don't need them You only use the front windshield, forward side windows (which I assume are clear) and mirrors anyway
Think of it like driving a box truck
