Default 78 window

I am looking for the right side, sliding half of the window behind the co-pilot seat. Any info would be helpful, like how to remove the window and how to stop the screens from vibrating.

Mark,

I have never removed one myself but what goes in must come out

I would start with removing the trim screws on the inside. That trim ring is actually retaining the window assembly. The window assembly then is removable to the outside. The frame should come apart from there in order to remove the actual sliding window pane. Because it is a flat pane, you really should not have a problem getting a replacement made. I think the biggest obstacle is matching the window tint??

Someone else should chime in here

Good luck!

if you want to remove the sliding window look on the trailing edge there there an aluminum frame on the back edge there is a rubber strip
do not remove the strip look at the top and bottom there are 2 screws holding it in place remove the screws an then remove the bar carefully holding the weather seal in place then carefully slide the glass out preserve the weather seal then grab the end of the frame on pull gently together till there is enough space to remove the frame
CLear as mud
if in doubt give me a call

Hi Mark,

The screens are kept from vibrating by small plastic clips that fit into notches on the edges of the top of the screen. The screen is inserted into the upper channels first by pushing up against the plastic clip tension and then sliding the bottom of the screen into the lower channel, most likely the plastic clips are either missing or broken.

Here is a picture of the clip found on my photo web site, if you haven't looked at the web site, be sure to do that as there is some good information on there especially for the FC models, you can get to it by clicking on the link in my signature below.

When I purchased the plastic clips from Bluebird back in 2007 I took all of them that they had and that was only six or seven and I used all of them already, I don't know if they ever reordered any more or where else they would be available from, but a new source would be a good thing to note here on the forum.
