WHAT?? why would you ask that, does it really matter, do you expect an honest answer, could that information be a deal maker or breaker???

Mike,

I can tell you what my 91 SP-36 gets. Overall, I tend to get about 7-7.5 MPG depending on the wind. Towing doesn't seem to affect mileage to any great degree.

My guess is his '90 should get similar. Same engine and tranny. He might even do better, cause his coach is probably a bit lighter.

Mike

Having had the pleasure to actually meet Ken and Sharlene at last summer's LSB rally and spending a few evenings in lively conversation with them, I can assure you that all the information he provides will be honest, straightforward and helpful.

Mike

Hi Mike
Thanks for asking about the fuel mileage. I had meant to mention that in my original post but simply forgot.

We have owned this coach since August and have only filled the tank completely 3 times since. The first tank consisted of a lot of stop and go travel and we got just a bit over 6. The second tank was mostly up and back down through the Ozarks and that tank was right at 6.2 . The last tank was a fair amount of freeway driving from Fl. to Tx (about 50%) and the mileage was 6.75 .

Please note that each tank consisted of a fair amount of generator running and also we were towing a Jeep Wrangler (about 3900 Lb.). Also, I am a very conservative (and retired...no hurry!) driver and set my speeds around 55 mph. I think a fair expectation would be around 6 or 7.

If I can answer any questions, please feel free to call, chat or email.

Thanks,
Ken

Hi John

The Jeep has been the cause of much "hand wringing"! We had never owned a 4 wheel drive anything before now. We only bought it because it is a "tow friendly" vehicle, but after getting it we discovered the pastime of trail riding and we love it!

The talk is to sell it, but if I find a way to keep it I may.

Wow Mike, that's pretty strong! In all the time we've known each other have you ever known me to lie? C'mon, we've been old pals for a long time now, so let's be honest...when was the last time you "caught me in a lie"? I mean we've known each other now for what....has it been 15...or maybe 20...no, I think we've known each other for at least 25 seconds! What better judge of character can you ask for?!
