Default Which alternator Bosch or Delco

I'm junking the dn50 for something much more practical. After a bunch of searches here it seems as if the Bosch AL9961h and the Delco 28 SI seem to be the best choice. Both are 12v 200 amp. Any thoughts either way and best place to purchase. Both can be bought online for around 300 bucks.

Make sure you get the right pulley.
G&M in Dothan has the pulley, heck,i have a good used pulley right here.
The pulley is hard to find.
New ones are $80.
If you call G&M mention my name, the bus guy from Bainbridge.
I use the bosch alternator, because they said too.

Penn Tex PX-833-12V air cooled drop-in replacement for Delco 50DN. No modification or fabrication required and uses same belt pulley. Not cheap at $1595, but if you can't fabricate a new mount yourself and have to pay for that plus alternator cost, its price becomes a lot more competitive.

I have a 400amp drop in replacement for the delco, new.
but is 24v.

while we are on the sunject,i have an old friend thats a bird owner and he has a carnival, hes been on the road all summer in Canada and his DN50 is bad,and has been all summer.
He drives with the generator on to keep his batteries charged.
He has tried in many cities,USA and Canada to get it rebuilt/fixed.
Nobody will work on it.
I have a rebuilt unit here (and several used ones) that i will be sending him when he gets home to Tampa.
Carny guys are pretty creative, they get stuff done, but he can't get the alternator fixed.

turbo Diesel & Electric here in Atlanta is a Bosch Distributor. I talked with them about the Bosch AL9962SB BOSCH 12 volts, 200 Amps. After discussing use with the S60 in a bus, they recommended the AL9964SB 275amp alternator with a niehoff 12 groove pulley A3291NEI. It was $200 more and I still have to mount it......
